This is just something I came up with to use up some apples I had in the fridge. It was a big hit, especially with my husband! Enjoy!

4-5 large
apples, any sweet and juicy variety
1 stick
real sweet cream butter, melted
1/2 c
white sugar
1/2 c
light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c
1/2 c
sour cream
1 c
cake flour
1 tsp
baking powder
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
1/8 tsp
ground cloves

How to Make Apple Cobbler


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    Peel, core and cube apples.
    Melt butter and pour into bottom of an 8x11 inch pan. Place apples on top of butter.
  • 2In a small bowl whisk together cake flour, baking powder, nutmeg, ginger and ground cloves. Set aside.
    In a large mixing bowl combine white sugar, brown sugar, milk and sour cream, whisk until smooth. Add cake flour mixture and whisk until smooth. Slowly pour batter evenly over apples.
  • 3Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until light golden brown.
