- 10 - baking apples, pared, cored and sliced
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 stick butter, no substitues
- SYRUP
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/2 - lemon, juiced

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 2Arrange slices in the bottom of a 9X12 inch baking pan

Step 3Sprinkle with cinnamon

Step 4Mix flour and brown sugar together. Cut in butter until crumbly and set aside

Step 5SYRUP: Combine the ingredients for syrup and stir until well blended.

Step 6Drizzle half of the syrup over the apples.

Step 7Top with butter crumb mixture and pour the remaining syrup on top.
