This salad is quick and easy to make. Tastes best after keeping in frig overnight to let ingredients absorb the flavors in the juices.
This is a very colorful and pretty dish for party or everyday dessert.
I made this for our work Xmas party and everyone loved it.

mixed fruit coctail
1 jar(s)
maraschino cherries / optional
1 1/8 can(s)
pineapple, crushed
1 can(s)
mandarin oranges
1 c
cut up fresh fruit/ optional
1/2 c
walnut pieces/ optional
1 pkg
mini marshmallows
1 pkg
coconut, shredded
1 pt
sour cream

How to Make Ambrosia Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Drain canned fruit
  • 2Mix fruit, walnut,coconut,mini marshmallows together well.
  • 3Add sour cream and mix well.
  • 4Cover and place in Refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours, overnight is better.
  • 5Serve in dessert dishes. Everyone will swear it has whipped cream in it, but it doesn't.
