24 hour fruit salad
You can even use just well-drained fruit cocktail which is basically what this OLD recipe used. I have seen it done with cubes of prepared jello with less water to make it firmer added to it along with the fruit. Makes it very pretty. This is one of my husband's favorite desserts. I love it as it uses less sugar than some fruit salads. Prefer it over a recipe that calls for sweetened condensed milk.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (or less) sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups grapes, seedless
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 can pineapple chunks or tidbits, drained
- 1 1/2 cups whipping cream or dream whip prepared.
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup flaked coconut
How To Make 24 hour fruit salad

Step 1Cook & stir over low hear the sugar, vinegar & eggs until thick.

Step 2Add butter & stir.

Step 3Cool mixture slightly. Add well drained fruit.

Step 4Fold in whipped cream or prepared Dream Whip. Add mini marshmallows & coconut & stir

Step 5You can add almost any drained fruit to this recipe. I have used sliced peaches, strawberries & raspberries.
