bread and butter pudding

I have made this recipe for hundreds of people over the years and it is always raved about. Best served warm. My husband's favorite. I can't keep it long enough to take a picture!

Ingredients
- 8-10 slices bread, toasted medium to dark
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 4 - eggs
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Pinch - salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ORANGE GLAZE SAUCE
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- Pinch - nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
How To Make bread and butter pudding

Step 1Melt butter in 13"x9" pan in oven while heating to 350 degrees.

Step 2Toast bread to medium/dark. And break toast into pieces, placing it in pan with melted butter.

Step 3In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg, vanilla and milk. Add to bread and butter.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes or until set in center.

Step 5While baking, bring orange juice to boil. Mix sugar with corn starch using whisk. Add this to boiling orange juice, stirring well. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add nutmeg, lemon juice, butter and salt(if desired).

Step 6Pour sauce over pudding when removed from oven. Allow to cool some and enjoy. That is, if you can keep the family away long enough for it to cool!
