This recipe was given to me by my husband's Tia Carmen from Texas. It is a little less sweet than most pecan pie recipes and has been a hit for the last 10 years at our house.

  • 1 c
    pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 3
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1
    pie crust shell

How to Make Tia Carmen's Pecan Pie


  1. Mix in a bowl maple syrup, sugar, eggs,vanilla, butter and salt.
  2. Add pecans and mix
  3. Pour into pie shell
  4. Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 15 minutes then lower to 350 for an additional 30 minutes. Check with knife to see if done cooking.
