tia carmen's pecan pie
This recipe was given to me by my husband's Tia Carmen from Texas. It is a little less sweet than most pecan pie recipes and has been a hit for the last 10 years at our house.

Ingredients
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/4 cups pecans
- 3 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 - pie crust shell
How To Make tia carmen's pecan pie

Step 1Mix in a bowl maple syrup, sugar, eggs,vanilla, butter and salt.

Step 2Add pecans and mix

Step 3Pour into pie shell

Step 4Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 15 minutes then lower to 350 for an additional 30 minutes. Check with knife to see if done cooking.
