Ingredients

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    margarine
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 pkg
    neufchâtel, softened
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • 8 oz
    whipped topping, divided
  • 1 lb
    strawberries, fresh, chopped, divided

How to Make Strawberry shortcake tart

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350'. Combine flour, sugar, margarine, and baking powder. Pastry cutter works great. Press and shape into 9" or 10" tart pan.
  2. prick holes in the bottom of the crust and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is firm. Remove from oven and let cool on cooling rack.
  3. Mix Neufchâtel, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in 2/3 of the container of whipped cream (about 1 1/2 cups).
  4. Fold in strawberries and spread in crust
  5. Top with remaining whipped topping and remaining strawberries. Refrigerate for an hour or until ready to serve
