Ingredients

unbaked pie shell
2 large
eggs (slightly beaten)
1 lb
can pumkin (or 2 cups)
3/4 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
ginger
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
1 2/3 c
light cream or evaporated milk
3 Tbsp
soft butter
2/3 c
brown sugar
2/3 c
coarsely chopped pecans

How to Make Pumpkin Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Blend together eggs and pumpkin.
  • 2Stir in sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
  • 3Blend in cream.
  • 4Turn into pie shell.
  • 5Bake in a hot oven (400) degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.
  • 6Cool completely on wire rack.
  • 7Combine butter, brown sugar and pecans.
  • 8Gently drop by spoonfuls over cooled pie to cover top.
  • 9Broil 5" below heat until mixture begins to bubble about 3 minutes.
  • 10Watch carefully (if cooked too long, top will turn syrupy).
  • 11Cool on rack.
