Ingredients
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
- 2 large eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1 pound can pumkin (or 2 cups)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 2/3 cups light cream or evaporated milk
- 3 tablespoons soft butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans
How To Make pumpkin pecan pie

Step 1Blend together eggs and pumpkin.

Step 2Stir in sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.

Step 3Blend in cream.

Step 4Turn into pie shell.

Step 5Bake in a hot oven (400) degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean.

Step 6Cool completely on wire rack.

Step 7Combine butter, brown sugar and pecans.

Step 8Gently drop by spoonfuls over cooled pie to cover top.

Step 9Broil 5" below heat until mixture begins to bubble about 3 minutes.

Step 10Watch carefully (if cooked too long, top will turn syrupy).

Step 11Cool on rack.
