Ingredients
- - crust
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons shortening
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/3 cup ice water
- FILLING
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cups dark corn syrup
- 4 - eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter
How To Make pecan pie

Step 1PIE CRUST Mix all ingredients together form in a ball. Roll ball out onto a floured surface and place into a 9 inch pie pan.

Step 2PIE FILLING In sauce pan on low heat, cook sugar and corn syrup for about 2 min. take off heat in stir in butter set aside.

Step 3In large bowl beat eggs and add vanilla. Slowly pour the sugar mixture into the eggs while stirring constantly until blended.

Step 4Place the chopped pecans on the bottom of the uncooked pie crust and pour your mixture over the pecans.

Step 5Bake at 350 for 55 minutes. If your pie pan is thinner then bake for about 45 minutes. I used a ceramic pie pan.
