Recipe given to me by my mother-in-law, one of the best cooks I know. She swears you cannot goof this recipe up and and always turns out perfect.

    flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    shortening
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    egg, well beaten
  • 8 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    sugar (optional)

How to Make Never Fail Pie Crust

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut shortening in flour and salt.
  2. Combine egg, water and vinegar. Pour over flour mixture all at once.
  3. Blend until moistened. May be rerolled
  4. Keeps two weeks in refrigerator.
