    mashed sweet potatoes
  • 3/4 c
    warm milk
  • 2 stick
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp

    egg yolks
  • 3
    egg whites, whipped
  • 1 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c

How to Make Mama Jackson's Sweet Potato Pie


  1. Cook potato(es) until soft. Mash or puree in a food processor until completely smooth. Add melted butter.
  2. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add all ingredients except vanilla and egg whites and mix on medium speed with blender for 1 1/2 minutes or until well blended.
  3. Add vanilla and mix 30 seconds.

    Fold in egg whites and then pour into two pie crusts.
  4. Bake 55 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
