This is Luby's recipe for key lime pie and my favorite. I usually don't bother ith the green food coloring.

Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz) can(s)
    sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lime juice (3-4 limes)
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lemon juice (1-2 lemons)
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    grated lime peel
  • 1/4 tsp
    green food coloring
  • 1
    9 inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 (8 z.) pkg
    cool whip

How to Make Key Lime Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine milk, both juices, peel and food coloring.
  3. Mix just until ingredients are well blended. Don't over mix.
  4. Pour into crust.
  5. Bake 5 minutes.
  6. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  7. Top with whipped cream.
