This is Luby's recipe for key lime pie and my favorite. I usually don't bother ith the green food coloring.

Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz) cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (3-4 limes)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (1-2 lemons)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lime peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon green food coloring
  • 1 - 9 inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 (8 z.) package cool whip

How To Make key lime pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl, combine milk, both juices, peel and food coloring.
  • Step 3
    Mix just until ingredients are well blended. Don't over mix.
  • Step 4
    Pour into crust.
  • Step 5
    Bake 5 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • Step 7
    Top with whipped cream.
