My mother always made this at Christmas. Delicious!! Easy and no-bake. This recipe makes two pies. You can make your own crust or buy a premade graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups tart cherries, drained
  • 1 cup pecan pieces
  • 1 pint whipping cream
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar

How To Make jean's holiday pie

  • Step 1
    This recipe makes two pies. To make each pie crust, use 1 package of graham crackers, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup butter for each. Put graham crackers in a Ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Put graham crackers, sugar, and butter in a pie pan. Mix. Use a fork and press crumbles in the pan and up the sides. Put in refrigerator.
  • Step 2
    Combine milk and juice. Add extract, cherries, and nuts. Reserve some cherries for garnish.
  • Step 3
    Whip the cream with the sugar and fold it into the fruit mixture.
  • Step 4
    Put the fruit mixture in shells. Garnish with cherries and pecans.
  • Step 5
    Refrigerate 16-24 hours.
