Here is a recipe I found in my mother's recipe box. I forgot how good this pie is :-)

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter (not margarine)-softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup *swan's down* cake flour (or plain sifted flour)
  • 1 - square of chocolate(1oz), unsweetened--melted (i use*bakers*)
  • 2 - large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES***

How To Make fudge pie

  • Step 1
    Cream softened butter and sugar in a mixer. Add eggs and beat with the mixer. Blend in flour and melted chocolate square. Add vanilla. Pour into a greased pie pan. Bake at 325* for 25 minutes. (Inside will be gooey)
  • Step 2
    Note: can add another 1/2 to 1 square of chocolate if you like darker chocolate. Garnish with whipped cream. This pie is delicious hot with some vanilla ice cream.
