Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups cold 1/2 & 1/2 or milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 ounces package instant greek cherry pudding mix
  • 2 cups thawed whipped topping
  • 1/4 cup drained chopped maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped samoa type cookies (coconut,caramel.chocolate, shortbread cookies)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pecans, optional
  • 1 - 8 or 9 inch baked pie shell, regular, chocolate or cookie shell

How To Make frozen cherry pudding pie

  • Step 1
    Prepare pie crust according to directions or make your own or use one from here. https://www.justapinch.com/groups/view/806/our-favorite-pie-shells?p=26
  • Step 2
    Pour the half and half and extract into a large bowl. Add the dry pudding mix. Beat with a wire whisk until well blended, and begining to thicken.
  • Step 3
    Gently stir in the thawed whipped topping. Stir in cherries and chopped cookies.
  • Step 4
    Pour mixture into cooled prepared pie shell. Smooth top. Cover with non-stick foil. Freeze for 4 hours or until firm. Overnight is best. Thaw 15 minutes before cutting. Serve with chocolate or caramel topping and a dollop of whipped cream, if desired... --- NOTE: Any flavor of instant pudding mix and add ins can be used in place of the cookie and cherries..Such as mini marshmallows , mini chocolate chips, or wafer cookies, or oreos, ect...
