Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon gelatin, unflavored
- 1 tablespoon cold water
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 - egg yolks beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavey whipping cream whipped
- - nutmeg
- 1 - pie shell, baked
- 1 dash bourbon
How To Make eggnog pie

Step 1Soak gelatin in cold water.

Step 2Scald milk in a double boiler. In a pan combine sugar, cornstarch and salt, add milk. Cook until thick.

Step 3Stir in beaten egg yolks and cook a few more minutes. Add gelatin and butter. Let cool. Add vanilla (this is when I also add 1-2Tblsp of bourbon) Fold in whipped cream.

Step 4Pour in pie shell, sprinkle with nutmeg and chill. Serve with a dab of cool whip.
