Haven't made this pie in awhile I forgot how easy it is. It's one of my family favorites.

Ingredients
- 1 - baked pie shell
- 3 large egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons corn starch [heaping]
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups coconut
- MERINGUE
- 5 - egg whites
- 1 teaspoon cream of tarter
- 1 teaspoon vinilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
How To Make coconut cream pie

Step 1In sauce pan mix first 4 ingredience

Step 2Cook stiring constantly over medium heat till thick.

Step 3Remove from heat add 2 Tablespoons butter and1 teaspoon vinilla. Stir cover with film let cool. Add coconut.

Step 4Pour into baked pie shell

Step 5Mix meringue ingredients with electric mixer till stiff peaks form.

Step 6Arrange on top of pie. Sprinkle with coconut. Bake at 350 degrees till light brown.
