Ingredients

  • 1
    unbaked deep dish pie crust
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    salted butter, melted (if using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to the batter)
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 c
    real semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    kentucky bourbon (such as maker's mark, knob creek)

How to Make CHOCOLATE CHIP PECAN PIE

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place unbaked crust (in pie pan) on a cookie sheet and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
  3. Gradually add sugars and mix thoroughly.
  4. Stir in flour and melted butter and mix well.
  5. Fold in nuts, chocolate chips, vanilla and bourbon.
  6. Pour into crust and bake on middle rack for 40 minutes, until golden brown and set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 3 hours before serving.
  8. No refrigeration needed
