This is a delicious, rich, chocolatey pie that is bound to disappear in no time, so you may want to hide an extra piece for yourself!

Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked deep dish pie crust
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted (if using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to the batter)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon kentucky bourbon (such as maker's mark, knob creek)

How To Make chocolate chip pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and place unbaked crust (in pie pan) on a cookie sheet and set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
  • Step 3
    Gradually add sugars and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 4
    Stir in flour and melted butter and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Fold in nuts, chocolate chips, vanilla and bourbon.
  • Step 6
    Pour into crust and bake on middle rack for 40 minutes, until golden brown and set.
  • Step 7
    Remove from oven and let cool for at least 3 hours before serving.
