cecil's sweet potato pie
My friend's husband gave me this recipe. It's a twisted to the traditional sweet potato pie but it's delicious.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cans sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 large eggs
- 2 large unbaked pie crust (deep dish)
How To Make cecil's sweet potato pie

Step 1Boil sweet potatoes (skin on) in a large pot until tender. Drain and peel off the skin.

Step 2Heat oven to 350

Step 3. Beat sweet potatoes and butter in large bowl until smooth

Step 4Add sweetened condensed milk, lemon peel, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and eggs; mix well. Pour into crusts.

Step 5• BAKE 40 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Garnish as desired (I usually sprinkle nutmeg, sugar and a little lemon juice on the top to give it extra flavor and a lil crunch)
