I got this recipe from Southern living and it is a winner. My mom used to make this pie. Old fashion taste. Serve with whipped cream and berries. It is a winner

  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp
    loosely packed lemon zest
  • 1 c
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
  • ·
    unbaked pie crust

How to Make Buttermilk Pie


  1. Preheat oven to 350; Whisk together the first two ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl whisk eggs into the next 5 ingredients.
    mix with flour mixture and pour into crust.
  3. Bake 35 to 45 minutes, shielding edges with aluminum foil after 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and cool 1 hour.Looks pretty served with blueberries and strawberries.
