Love this simple delicious pie!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 - 9inch pie shell

How To Make buttermilk pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Have a 9 inch pie shell unbaked set aside in your pie plate. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, buttermilk, butter, vanilla, and eggs. Blend well.
  • Step 2
    Pour the filling into your 9 inch unbaked pie shell. Bake in a 350 oven for 40-60 minutes, or until center sets and isn't runny. It should be golden brown.
  • Step 3
    Remove from oven and let cool completely. Serve with whipped cream it desired.
