This recipe was from my cousin-in-law, who is a wonderful country cook. She has lived on farms, her whole life. They ran a dairy & grew tobacco, for their income. And, also always had a garden, like most farm folks do. Eventually, my mom made pies like this too. And, a great-aunt of ours.

Makes 2 small pies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 stick butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons corn meal
- 3/4 cup 2% milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 2 small unbaked pie crusts
How To Make brown sugar chess pie

Step 1Mix ingredients in the order given. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30-40 minutes. Lower heat to 325 degrees F, after pie has started cooking. Makes 2 small pies.
