I wanted something traditional with a twist!! Everyone LOVED it!!!

Ingredients

  • - 1 large can pumpkin pie filling
  • as directe can condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 pinches nutmeg
  • as directe - eggs
  • 1 - large graham cracker crust
  • 2 cups uncooked quick oats
  • 1/2-3/4 cup flour
  • large scoop crystalized ginger
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 sticks cold butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

How To Make best pumpkin pie ever

  • Step 1
    Follow the directions for the Pumpkin Pie Filling fill large graham cracker pie crust and bake as directed
  • Step 2
    when pie is half way cooked, put in food processor, the oats, brown sugar, a large hand full of crystalized ginger about 1/2 of a cup maybe more, flour and cold butter cut into medium/small chunks, 1 1/2 pinch of nutmeg and the cinnamon and process until it is crumbly texture
  • Step 3
    remove pie from oven 5 minutes before it is thoroughly cooked and add crumble topping generously covering entire top of pie and continue to bake for another 10 to 15 minutes till topping is light brown. Remove from oven and cool. serve room temp or warm with vanilla ice cream, ginger ice cream or homemade whipped cream
