Ingredients

7 qt
apples, cored, sliced & peeled
4 c
sugar
1 c
cornstarch
1 Tbsp
apple pie spice
1/4 tsp
salt
9 c
water
3 Tbsp
lemon juice

How to Make Apple Pie Filling

Step-by-Step

  • 1Completely fill 7 - 1 quart jars with prepared apples.
  • 2Combine all ingredients except lemon juice.
  • 3Cook on stove top until bubbles.
  • 4Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
  • 5Carefully pour filling over raw apples in jar, making sure you completely fill each jar. Apples should not float in jar. If your apples float you didn't add enough apples.
  • 6Seal each jar by process of Hot Water Bath for 20 min.
  • 7For apple pie, pour 1 quart filling into crust and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. ENJOY!
