Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- pinch ginger
- pinch nutmeg
- 7-9 cups thinly sliced pared apples
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- - pastry for double crust pie
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 - egg white
- - additional sugar
How To Make apple pie

Step 1In a small bowl, combine sugars, flour & spices; set aside. In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. Add sugar mixture - toss well to coat. Line a 9" pie pan with half of the pastry. Place apple filling into crust; dot with butter. Put remaining pastry crust on top.

Step 2Bake at 375 for 35 minutes, increase temp to 400 and bake for 10-15 minutes more.
