Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked pie shell [9 in.]
  • 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
  • 6 cups peeled apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour [heaping]
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • SPICY PECAN TOPPING
  • 1/4 cup butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces

How To Make apple pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans in unbaked pie shell
  • Step 2
    Combine apples,sugar,cinnamon,and nutmeg. Turn into pie shell on top of pecans.
  • Step 3
    Mix first 3 topping ingredience using pastry blender or fork. Add pecans, spread on top of apples.
  • Step 4
    Bake in hot oven [425 degrees] 40to45 minutes or until apples are tender and pie top is a rich brown.
