Ingredients

  • 1
    unbaked pie shell [9 in.]
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • 6 c
    peeled apples
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour [heaping]
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • SPICY PECAN TOPPING

  • 1/4 c
    butter, cold
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, in pieces

How to Make Apple Pecan Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans in unbaked pie shell
  2. Combine apples,sugar,cinnamon,and nutmeg. Turn into pie shell on top of pecans.
  3. Mix first 3 topping ingredience using pastry blender or fork. Add pecans, spread on top of apples.
  4. Bake in hot oven [425 degrees] 40to45 minutes or until apples are tender and pie top is a rich brown.
