Apple Custard Pie
1unbaked 9" pie crust
6 capples slices (4 or 5 cooking apples)
3 Tbspregular all-purpose flour
1 cgranulated sugar
3/4 clight cream or milk
How to Make Apple Custard Pie
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, sprinkle apple slices with flour, salt, cinnamon, and 3/4 cup sugar. Toss until well coated.
- Place apple slices in overlapping circles in pie crust. In a small bowl, beat together eggs, light cream, 1/4 cup sugar and nutmeg. Pour over apple slices.
- Cover loosely with foil. Bake 45 minutes, remove foil, and continue to bake 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted in custard comes out clean.
