1Peel and remove core from apples and slice them thin.
2Place apple slices in a large bowl and stir in the sugar, flour, lemon juice and cinnamon. Microwave on high for 5 minutes stirring half way threw.
3Pour apples into a prepared pie crust and dot with the butter and cover with the other pie crust. Make slits in top of crust to vent.
4Bake at 375 for 50-55 minutes.
Set on a pan just in case it boils over while cooking.
Bring to a boil for about one minute in sauce pan the butter, brown sugar and cream. Take from heat in stir in the nuts if used and pour over cooked pie. Return to oven and bake 10 more minutes.
