How To Make spiced pie crust strips
-
Step 1Here is my favorite pie crust. For these sticks I used the leftover crust from a pumpkin pie. https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/pie/flakiest-pie-crust-ever.html
-
Step 2Roll dough out as you would for pie crust, I rolled mine into a rectangle. Brush generously with melted butter. Sprinkle on cinnamon. Now sprinkle on a generous amount of turbinado sugar or brown sugar. Top with crushed walnuts or pecans. Gently press down to adhere nuts to dough. Using a pizza wheel cut out strips. You could also use cookie cutters. If desired top with coarse sea salt. Place on cookie sheet and bake 375° for about 18-20 min until light brown.
