Another of my favorite cookie bars for the holidays is Pecan Pie Bars. Perfect to fix as a gift for a teacher, friend, or co-worker.

Ingredients
- 2 cups unsifted flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup cold margarine or butter
- 1 can (14-oz) eagle brand sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package (6-oz) almond brickle chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make pecan pie bars (pictured on right)

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 for glass pan).

Step 2In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar; cut in margarine until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes.

Step 3Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in chips and pecans. Spread evenly over crust. Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator.
