My mom was born and raised in Brooklyn NY And has made these for as long as I can remember. She would drop them in Brown paper bags and shake them in sugar. Such a special treat!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ricotta cheese
- 4 - eggs
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 2 cups white flour
- - powdered sugar for dusting
How To Make pat 's zeppoles

Step 1Heat 3-4 inches of vegetable til a drop of flour sizzles.

Step 2Mix all ingredients well and drop by heaping teaspoons into hot oil. They will flip over when done on one side, about 45-50 seconds (but keep an eye on them, if they Brown quickly flip them with your spoon and lower temperature). Cook other side til golden then remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Step 3Let cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
