What a yummy little treat! I made half of the batch into popcorn balls and the other half I put into a big bowl. The Test Kitchen gobbled this up fast. Great for a movie night or party.

Ingredients
- 6 quarts popped, salted corn
- 2 sticks oleo
- 1/2 cup white syrup
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make maybelle connealy carmel popcorn

Step 1Take oleo, white syrup and brown sugar.

Step 2Mix and bring to boil stirring. Cook 6 min. on low heat stirring.

Step 3Take off stove and add cream of tartar, salt and soda. Stir until foamy.

Step 4Pour on popped corn. Mix. Spread out on greased cookie sheet.

Step 5Put in oven at 200F for 1 hour, stir occasionally.

Step 6Press into balls if you desire.
