Family had these delicious Sundaes last night for dessert. Needless to say no topping left...LOL! I love the crunchiness of the toasted pecans in this topping...Delish!

- 3/4 cup pecan pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- pinch - salt
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla or rum extract
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
How To Make honey pecan sundae sauce

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Place pecan pieces on a sheet pan and bake for 15 minutes. Set aside

Step 2In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the honey, extract, flour and salt. Bring heat to simmer and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Remove from burner and leave cool.

Step 3Once honey mixture is cool, mix in the heavy cream and pecans. This topping will become thicker as it sets. Spoon over vanilla ice cream, add some whipped cream and a cherry & you have a delicious treat!
