How To Make choc/peanut butter cake balls
-
Step 1Bake the cake according to directions on package Cool cake and then crumble into pieces. Add creamy peanut butter, and dark chocolate frosting into crumbled cake. (use your discretion when adding these 2 ingredients- you want the mixture to be creamy but must be able to be rolled into small balls approx. 1 inch in size. Then add in the chopped peanut butter cups. Roll all into small balls approx. 1 inch in size. Place on cookie sheet and place in refrigerator to firm up for about 1/2 hour. While waiting, melt Wilton candy melts for approx. 3 minutes in the microwave. Now you are ready for the finishing touches on this bite size yummy treat. Dip one cake ball at a time in the melted chocolate and be sure it is covered entirely. Continue the process until all cake balls are covered in chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles of your choosing. I found a combination of chocolate and peanut butter pieces that look great on top of the cake balls. Chill until firm and eat one quickly before the family realizes they are done!! These disappear faster then you can make them!! A true hit at parties! Enjoy!
