ground cinnamon and/or 1 dash nutmeg
ground ginger (optional)
How to Make Candied Pecans
1Toast pecans @ 225º for 15 minutes.
2Combine salt & sugar and spice into egg whites which have been stiffly beaten.
3Fold in pecans & coat well.
4Melt butter in 9 by 13 pan & spread in pecans.
5Mix pecans in butter until coated.
6Bake @ 325º for 30 minutes.
7Turn pecans in butter every 10 minutes until butter is gone.
