- 1 cup room temperature,butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar
How To Make basic buttercream

Step 1Place the butter in a stand mixer and let it beat for 2-3 minutes on medium speed.

Step 2Add flavorings, such as extracts or cocoa,and beat again.

Step 3Slowly add powdered sugar until the buttercream reaches the desired consistency.

Step 4If it becomes too thick, add a little milk to thin it out.
