Ingredients

  • 1 box
    vanilla wafers cookies
  • 2 c
    butter, melted
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 2 can(s)
    20 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 3-5
    bananas
  • 2 c
    whipped cream or one 12 oz container cool whip
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 jar(s)
    small, maraschino cherries

How to Make Banana Split Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Crush vanilla wafers and pour in 1 cup of melted butter.
  2. Combine well and press into bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish.
  3. Combine sugar, eggs and 1 cup of melted butter.
  4. Beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Pour over top of vanilla wafer crust.
  6. Layer crushed pineapple followed by banana slices onto cake.
  7. Spread with whipped cream and then sprinkle with pecans.
  8. Arrange cherries on top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least one hour before servings.
