Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla wafers cookies
  • 2 cups butter, melted
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 cans 20 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
  • 3-5 - bananas
  • 2 cups whipped cream or one 12 oz container cool whip
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 jar small, maraschino cherries

How To Make banana split cake

  • Step 1
    Crush vanilla wafers and pour in 1 cup of melted butter.
  • Step 2
    Combine well and press into bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Combine sugar, eggs and 1 cup of melted butter.
  • Step 4
    Beat until light and fluffy.
  • Step 5
    Pour over top of vanilla wafer crust.
  • Step 6
    Layer crushed pineapple followed by banana slices onto cake.
  • Step 7
    Spread with whipped cream and then sprinkle with pecans.
  • Step 8
    Arrange cherries on top.
  • Step 9
    Refrigerate for at least one hour before servings.
