This is a super yummy and easy dessert/salad. You need to begin to prepare it a day in advance, but the end result is worth it.

Ingredients

  • 1 20 oz cans crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
  • 2 1/2 cups marshmallows, mini
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 8 oz packages cool whip
  • 2 cups apples, diced (do not peel)
  • 1 1/4 cups peanuts (optional)

How To Make taffy apple salad

  • Step 1
    Mix pineapple and marshmallows. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour, pineapple juice, sugar, vinegar, and egg. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 3
    The next day, mix cool whip with pineapple and marshmallows. Add to the pineapple juice mixture. Stir in apples and nuts. Chill until ready to serve.
