  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 3/4 c
  • 1 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 c
  • 1 can(s)
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Southern peach cobbler


  1. Melt 1 stick of butter in 13 x 9 inch pan.
  2. While melting, in mixing bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup self rising flour, and 1 cup milk. Whisk till smooth.
  3. Pour flour/sugar mixture on top of melted butter. Do not stir!!
  4. In same bowl, pour LARGE can peaches in bowl and add 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix well. Pour on top of flour/sugar/butter. Do NOT mix.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
  6. Enjoy!
  7. Your can of peaches can vary. Use the large can peaches, or two medium size cans. Doesn't matter if it is in its own juice, heavy syrup or light syrup, it will all work.
