pineapple dessert

This recipe was given to me by my neighbour many years ago. I used to make it for my son when he was little. It is similar to a cheese cake. But it's not. It's a no bake refrigerated dessert. Great for summer entertaining or for the family. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • - 1 pint of 14% sour cream
  • - 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding 4 portion size (do notmake into a pudding just use straight from the package)
  • - 1 tin (14oz) size crushed pineapple drained
  • - 1 cup crushed graham wafer crumbs
  • - 3 tbsp melted butter or margarine
  • - 2 tbsp white sugar

How To Make pineapple dessert

  • Step 1
    For the base
  • Step 2
    Mix together the graham wafer crumbs, melted butter, and sugar Reserve 1/4 cup of crumbs for the top
  • Step 3
    Pack into a buttered 8"X8" inch square pan DO NOT BAKE
  • Step 4
    For the Filling
  • Step 5
    Mix together the sour cream, vanilla instant pudding, crushed pineapple (drained)
  • Step 6
    Pour onto graham wafer base
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle reserved crumbs over top
  • Step 8
    Cover with saran wrap and refrigerate until set or overnight
