This is my great Grand Mother's recipe. She always made these as 8" long strips.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup lard
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 - egg
How To Make perishky

Step 1Sift dry ingredients, rub in lard, add slightly beaten egg, milk and cream.

Step 2Mix together to make a soft dough, you may need to add a little bit more flour.

Step 3Roll out, cut into squares (or long strips) and fill with apples or other fruits. Top with 1tsp sugar, or more, depending on taste and a bit of flour.

Step 4Fold over and seal. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
