This is my great Grand Mother's recipe. She always made these as 8" long strips.

Ingredients For perishky

2 cflour

1 tspbaking powder

1 tspsalt

1/2 clard
-
1/2 cmilk
-
1/2 ccream

1egg
How To Make perishky

1Sift dry ingredients, rub in lard, add slightly beaten egg, milk and cream.

2Mix together to make a soft dough, you may need to add a little bit more flour.

3Roll out, cut into squares (or long strips) and fill with apples or other fruits. Top with 1tsp sugar, or more, depending on taste and a bit of flour.

4Fold over and seal. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
