With pears plentiful I make this cobbler several times in the summer. It is always welcomed by my family and dinner guests!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced fresh pears
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 - pillsbury roll out pie crust
  • 1/4 stick butter

How To Make pear cobbler

  • Step 1
    Mix flour, sugar and ginger
  • Step 2
    Peel and slice fresh pears
  • Step 3
    Mix pears and flour mixture
  • Step 4
    Put into casserole dish sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees stirring occasionally until fork tender.
  • Step 5
    Remove and cover with pie crust. Dot with butter and bake until golden brown. Serve with whipped cream.
