This recipe sounds a lot like the one that my mother made with many different types of fruit.

  • 1 stick
  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 c
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
  • 30 oz
    sliced peaches in syrup
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/3 tsp

How to Make Peach Cobbler


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Separate half cup sugar, all of cinnamon and nutmeg. Separate peaches from syrup.
  3. Mix one cup sugar and the other dry ingredients together in a bowl. Stir in milk and syrup from peaches.
  4. Put peaches in casserole with melted butter. Pour batter over the top of peaches. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1/2 cup sugar mixture and sprinkle over top of batter. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until top crust is golden brown.
