My Great Aunt Lucy used to make these with breakfast whenever we stayed with her during our trips down South to visit family. I always loved them! I don't know if this is the same way Aunt Lucy made them, but it is so good! I serve them hot as a side dish with pork chops, or over pancakes, and even over vanilla ice cream as a dessert! The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients For fried apples

  • 4-6 lg
    golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar

How To Make fried apples

  • 1
    Melt butter in pan, add apple slices, sugar and cinnamon and water.
  • 2
    toss gently over medium heat until sugar has melted and apples are soft, about 10 minutes.
