My Great Aunt Lucy used to make these with breakfast whenever we stayed with her during our trips down South to visit family. I always loved them! I don't know if this is the same way Aunt Lucy made them, but it is so good! I serve them hot as a side dish with pork chops, or over pancakes, and even over vanilla ice cream as a dessert! The possibilities are endless!

Ingredients

4-6 large
golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 Tbsp
butter
1/4 c
water
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 c
brown sugar

How to Make Fried Apples

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter in pan, add apple slices, sugar and cinnamon and water.
  • 2toss gently over medium heat until sugar has melted and apples are soft, about 10 minutes.
