Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks cold butter, chopped into cubes
- 1 large egg yolk
- 6 - 8 - plums, any kind or mixed
How To Make ali's plum tart

Step 1Assemble ingredients. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a pie plate or tart pan with cooking spray (or use a false-bottom tart pan).

Step 2Put flour in a mixing bowl. Add nuts and brown sugar, and mix to combine.

Step 3Add cold butter and the egg yolk. Mix to combine everything.

Step 4Take 3/4 of the crumb mixture and press into the bottom and sides of the pan, leaving the bottom nice and smooth. Save the remaining mixture.

Step 5Cut the plums in half and remove the pits. Cut into quarters (or sixths if very large).

Step 6Place plums into the crust arranging them in a circular pattern.

Step 7Sprinkle the remaining crust mixture on top of the fruit.

Step 8Bake for 45 minutes or until the top crust is nicely browned.
