toasted oats pb & chocolate chip cookies
We all enjoy an oatmeal cookie! But have You tried toasting the oats in butter? By toasting the oats it adds a nutty flavor. Now You can add more nuts, or raisins but We decided to go with peanut butter chips & chocolate chips! What a great crispy nutty chocolatey cookie!! Yummmm!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup peanut butter chips
How To Make toasted oats pb & chocolate chip cookies

Step 1In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter til slightly brown. Add oats stirring constantly til golden brown. About 8-10 min. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 2In small bowl combine flour and baking soda and set aside. In large mixing bowl add brown sugar eggs and vanilla and beat til light. Combine dry ingredients, and mix in chips well. Let sit for 15min.

Step 3Drop rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 for 10min or til golden brown. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
