Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • FILLING

  • 3/4 c
    flaked coconut
  • 3/4 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 jar(s)
    (10 ounces) strawberry preserves

How to Make Strawberry Wonder Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Crust: In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, oats, 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 cup butter and baking soda.
    Beat at low speed until mixture is crumbly, 1-2 minutes.
  2. Press crust mixture on bottom of greased 13 X 9 inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  3. Topping: In same bowl, combine coconut, nuts, 1/4 cup flour, brown sugar, 2 tbsp. butter and cinnamon.
    Beat on low speed until well mixed.
  4. Spread preserves to 1/4 inch of edges of hot crust.
    Sprinkle topping mixture over preserves.
    Continue baking for 18-22 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
    Cool.
