special occasion chocolate cookies
I only make these cookies at Christmas, but Mom always made them on special occasions, like Easter, baby showers, wedding trays. NOTE: Cooking time on these is 9 minutes, NO longer.

Ingredients
- 3 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 teaspoon good vanilla
How To Make special occasion chocolate cookies

Step 1Pre-Heat oven to 325* In a large bowl, mix Flour, sugar, cocoa, nutmeg, cinnamon, raisens and walnuts. With a wooden spoon mix all dry ingredients completely.

Step 2Make a "well" in the middle of the dry mixture, pour the milk, oil and vanilla. Mix both the dry and wet ingredients with a wooden spoon until completely incorporated, PLEASE do not use a mixer of any kind.

Step 3Hand roll dough into golf ball size pieces, and place on un-greased cookie sheet, separated by about 1" spaces.

Step 4Bake in pre-heated oven for (9) NINE MINUTES ONLY!! Remove and after 5 or 10 minutes, move to a cooling rack. After cookies are completely cool, glaze the tops in white icing made from confectionary sugar and water or (milk) and a tsp of vanilla, sprinkle with colored balls.
