sour cream cut out cookies
This recipe is almost 100 years old. My Mother's Great Granny's recipe. The cookies are soft and very tasty. I always make up a few batches for the holidays, and when I present them, I always get, "I love these cookies!"

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups all purpose flour
How To Make sour cream cut out cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2Cream together butter and sugar. Add sour cream, baking soda, eggs, vanilla and salt. Gradually add flour until it can be rolled and cut. Add a little more flour of needed.

Step 3Roll out on a lightly floured board and cut with cookie cutters of your choice. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 mins or until edges are slightly browned. A butter cream frosting tastes great on these. You can also decorated with a royal icing too..Heck just about any kind of frosting tastes good on these cookies. Enjoy
