How to Make Snickerdoodles
- Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups of sugar and eggs. Sift flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt. Add to mixture and mix until blended.
- Form into balls size of walnuts. Mix 2 Tbsp. sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Roll dough balls in sugar mixture and place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
- Note: They will puff then flatten out.
